The fifth annual Small Business Finance and Investment Expo was held from 14-17 April 2011 at Maponya Mall, Soweto. This exhibition provided small business service providers such as ABSA, NYDA, GEP, Capitec Bank, Nedbank Small Business Support, the National Empowerment Fund, Khula and others, with a platform to provide information on their services.

The Business Place Kliptown took advantage of their prominent location to promote TBP’s services and the stand attracted a lot of people. The team from TBP Kliptown provided information and advice to 678 people over the four days.

“We need to market this way more often since many people were not aware of our services or our existence. Not only were we able to share information on our services with the Soweto community, we also learned what other service providers are offering and how they can assist SMMEs with finance.”
